Side by Side quilt pattern is here and I’m excited to share with you this newest LynsAvenue quilt pattern - available now!
This layout option initially was slated to be the cover version however things changed last minute and l reverted back to the original version for the cover. Side by Side quilt pattern is a design that is very close to my heart. Inspired by the connections we make in our day to day lives. Connections with family, friends, colleagues that can be long lasting, only for a season or brief encounters that leave a footprint in our lives; not only ours but those we connect with. The connected hearts linked side by side is a representation of these relationships.
This version is what l like to think as those relationship encounters that may not last the distance but the memories last a lifetime. Or you can look at it in this way with our long lasting relationships; we may not always be walking the same road but even with distance and time between chats and visits, we remain connected.

This sample is the Throw version which finishes at 60" x 70" with a simple heart block cleverly laid side by side in twos. I used Cotton Couture solids - princess and white for the background and Kona solids - periwinkle.

The design has plenty of negative space perfect for all that beautiful quilting. For this same l went with a simple diagonal grid.
