Solstice Firelight is a quilt inspired by my many holidays spent in the country side with lots of cherished moments of love and laughter with my family and cousins. With no lights around anywhere, we could see stars galore and boy were those beautiful nights. It's these simple pleasures that inspired the quilt design of Solstice Firelight – a quilt that radiates love and light with every stitch.
The Solstice Firelight quilt pattern is made up a simple curved block, namely the drunkards path or quarter circle block and the half circle block which are simple and gentle to work with. The block comes together quite quickly, you’ll have a quilt top finished in no time. Whether you prefer an elegant, minimalist aesthetic or a vibrant, scrappy design, this pattern allows for endless possibilities. My scrappy version uses all 16 fat quaters from the AGFAlegria bundle by my friend Vickeidy of @sewspicious.

Room to Trim
One of the highlights of Solstice Firelight is its curved blocks, which offer the ability to trim them to required size. Pattern includes clear instruction on how to trim the blocks and help with having perfectly sized blocks for your quilt.
Free Motion Quilting
I have had the itch to try out different quilting styles lately and l went way out of my comfort zone with this one. I decided to free motion quilt my way through with simple doodles. Whilst l regretted my decision with every single stitch, l fell in love the instant l saw the whole quilt done. The quilting makes the design stand out even more.
