Retro Rows quilt pattern was featured in the Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine issue 114 and l could not be more excited about it. I was over the moon when l saw the cover and realised my quilt was gracing it. Such a pinch me moment full of warm fuzzies that will live with me forever.

Isn't she beautiful gracing that magazine cover. I truly enjoyed working on this quilt, using all these awesome Kona Cotton Solids, which are a lot more than my usual limited palette. It took a lot of deliberation for me choosing the colours to use but l'm so happy l took the chance as it turned out really well. A listing of the the exact Kona colours l used will be listed at the end of this post. I love how bright and happy the quilt turned out.
This quilt is so quick and fun to make thanks to some strip piecing magic. I was done with the quilt before l wanted the sewing experience to end. l love the all over design and l can see this working with so many colour palettes.
For the quilt top l used Kona Solids in the colours below;
- Kona Snow
- Kona Orange
- Magenta
- Brt Pink
- Robin Egg
- Creamsicle
- Jade Green
- Grellow
For the quilt back l used Pink by Darlene Zimmerman from Darlene’s Favourites for Robert Kaufman. I can't wait to see your Retro Rows make.
